• David Petrie appointed CEO as part of broader strategy to become a market-leading provider of specialised high-acuity learning disability support in the UK

London, 23 September 2022 – Sequence Care Group, a provider of high-quality specialist support services that enable adults with complex learning disabilities to live richer, happier lives, today announces its rebrand to Liaise Group.

The rebrand follows more than a decade of growth through acquisitions from one site in London to 37 across the South of England. Rebranding the Group to Liaise will unite staff under one organisation with a shared set of values, driving the continued delivery of personal, tailored, best-in-class services, as it seeks to further grow its footprint.

The organisation has also appointed David Petrie as Chief Executive Officer and Claire Kennedy as Chief People Officer, respectively.

David will lead Liaise through the next stage of its journey. He has more than 15 years of experience in Board leadership positions in the health and care sectors, as a former CEO of national complex care provider Active Care Group, commercial, operational and financial roles at Nuffield Health and more recently at diagnostics operator, InHealth.

Claire Kennedy joins Liaise as Chief People Officer after more than 20 years in human resources for healthcare and public sector organisations. She previously led recruitment and people management at Advinia Healthcare, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Royal Air Force.

Earlier this year, Liaise announced a series of appointments to strengthen its senior management team. This included Commercial Director, Steve Crawley, Head of Property, Holly Pullinger and Communications Manager, Nicola Ward. The appointments brought together experience and expertise from leadership and senior roles at organisations including Sodexo Home Care, Department for Economic Development, Diabetes UK, Octopus Real Estate and Marie Curie.

In September 2021, Liaise secured backing from independent asset manager, Intriva Capital. Subsequently, Intriva has provided significant investment to expand and develop the organisation’s services.

Carter Ruck’s Managing Director, Adam Carter advised Intriva Capital on David’s appointment.

David Petrie, Chief Executive Officer of Liaise, said:

I am excited to be joining Liaise at such a pivotal time for the organisation. Becoming Liaise will bring us together – providing clarity on what we do across the country and reminding our partners that we are one organisation, consistently delivering on our commitments.

Moving forward, we will continue our mission to help people to thrive by creating environments which help them flourish and empowering our staff to deliver the best standards of service possible. Our hope is that in future our stakeholders will experience Liaise as one unified organisation with a national footprint, achieving high quality outcomes in a positive, progressive and personal way.

Steve Page, Chairman of Liaise, said:

“David brings significant Board level experience and excellent leadership skills to Liaise. We have been impressed by the clarity and structure he brought to similar roles in order to drive meaningful improvements in service delivery. He is a great fit for Liaise, with the right combination of skills and experience to lead the organisation through its next chapter.”
